Madaraka Day Special

Sorry for the absence of the Wednesday’s posts. Anyway hope you are well my dears. I just had to post this outfit I wore on Madaraka day. I didn’t plan to have it up on the blog but I loved how the streets of Nakuru looked on that day so my inspiration was born. 🙂

Animal Prints on My Skirt

Life is full of surprises and the best way to embrace them is not by retracing their origin but living the moment. My week started in a puzzling way and this day amazed more (am not complaining the though 🙂 ). Hope your week is going in the happy note direction too.

Today I happened to listen to one great inspirational speaker and the one thing that got me most was his view on PURPOSE. Let your purpose in life be that one thing or two that makes you happy. It can be hard to achieve unrealistic to others, cliche’ to some but as long as it quenches your heart thirst go for it and let God be your guide. All the best to those who are up on this trail! You will make it!

Today’s outfit is on this animal print I styled up with a simple T-shirt which I ended up accessorizing with a beaded necklace that i folded cos I preferred it this way than it’s original length. To give this look an official feel you can add a blazer on or wear it with a blouse instead of a T-shirt. I accompanied this outfit with my black ankle boots and my black pair of socks.. ;-). BLUE GIRL FROM THE BLOCK

I added red and white to my list of favorite colors but blue was my fav since birth. On International Women’s Day I coincidentally marked my celebrated day in my celebrated colour… Mmmh! Hallo everyone.
Yesterday was an interesting day, in my 20 something years on earth I have realized that the best way to live is by living. Not worrying, regretting or looking forth to the future or past. There is something about living in the moment that makes tomorrow so today and yesterday so yesterday. I have learned to love my mistakes; actually they are like the epitome in my life story book. It must be the weather change that makes me write like this… so back to the OOTD 😉

I had to have this top the minute I saw it. It is the design that drew me to purchase it and the colour was just a plus one… Hehe… I chose to pair the top up with this ripped faded jeans and completed the look with my black high heels. To accessorise, I added a light gold necklace which acted like a complementary of the too blue. I accompanied the outfit with a black-gold embellished handbag. For my wrist my everyday Kenyan flag-beaded bracelets.
